  • HURR Collective 37-39 Elizabeth Street London, England, SW1W United Kingdom (map)

Jemma Finch from Stories Behind Things looks to celebrate and promote mindful consumption, reshaping the way we all shop in the time of fast fashion. With sustainability being the core focus of what they do, Stories Behind Things are joining HURR to host an upcycling and embroidery workshop.

Clothes Doctor will be hosting a clothing clinic alongside the workshop where anyone can talk about repair, alteration and upcycling of any items in their wardrobes.

This is held in response to the urgent need to slow down the lifecycle and waste of clothes, come join us for a fun filled experience of reworking, repairing and renewing your old clothes giving them a new life in your wardrobe! The session will cover all the basic embroidery skills, and everyone will be taught to use threads of various sizes and colours with embroidery hoops to create unique designs.

Please bring a garment you wish to work on for this fast fashion therapy session. Beginners are welcome with everyone invited to improve or learn new sewing techniques.
